Performance Tips
Website Performance
Sedaro is a cloud-based platform that unlocks blazing, faster-than-real-time simulations of highly-complex, multi-physics, multi-domain scenarios. These simulations provide users with an abundance of data and analytics that drive the 3D and dynamic visuals of the scenario and support a host of activities throughout the project lifecycle.
A key interface to access this data is the web browser, and browsers can vary significantly based on a user’s machine and allocated resources, which may affect dynamic playback. If you experience any performance issues when viewing and interacting with the dynamic visualizations, here are some tips that can help with performance.
Model Configuration
Use a Smaller CAD Model File
CAD models are computationally expensive because we display their unique orientation in each frame. Using a smaller CAD model file can lighten the computational load and lead to better performance during 3D playback.

Reduced Data Volume
Because of the abundance of granular data that Sedaro produces, we give you options for retrieving (aka fetching) smaller amounts of data. Consider fetching a smaller time frame of data focused on a specific activity in your simulation. Alternatively, you can fetch a lower resolution of data, which will still present a representative visualization, albeit with larger time-step increments depicted.

3D Playback Options
The 3D Playback window provides many options to customize the view. By targeting the key information you want to display, you can lighten the performance load. Here are some options that might help performance. Consider toggling the view of the following settings off if you do not need them in your visualization.
- CAD models (a small spheroid will still depict the location of your agent)
- Orbit tails
- Fields of View
- View Sheds
Adjust 3D Playback settings for all agents
A nice feature of Sedaro is that you can make these display choices per agent. Here is how:
