Power Generation

The Power Module > Power Generation Edit Board is broken out into the following segments. Each of these segments relates to defining the solar array(s) for the spacecraft.

Solar Cells

Solar cells compose the solar panels that power the satellite. Cells can be swapped in and out to test different cell technologies within your mission architecture.

Solar Panels

Solar panels compose the solar arrays that power the satellite. Each panel is installed on an external surface of the spacecraft. Panels can be swapped in and out of arrays to test different configurations within your mission architecture.

To import a COTS solar panel instead of defining your own, click "Import from COTS Library".

Solar Arrays

Solar arrays provide power to the satellite. Each solar array is composed of one or more panels in parallel. Solar arrays are connected to discrete power processor inputs and the topologies that employ peak power tracking will independently peak power track each array.
