Generic Components

The Spacecraft Edit Dialog allows for the delineation and creation of subsystems. Subsystems are comprised of components, which are individually modeled in the simulation. Default subsystems have specialized components which have special behaviors in the simulation (such as heaters and reaction wheels). These specialized Components are created in the respective subsystem boards on the Navigation Bar. However, generic components, which only have power consumption and thermal properties can be created here.

To create a generic Component, navigate to the appropriate Subsystem and click the "+" button. After specifying the hardware and thermal properties, the power consumption can be defined in Subsystem Loading in the Power Subsystem.

This is also the place to create a Custom Subsystem. Custom subsystems can be created for an other purpose not covered by the defaults. Much like the defaults, custom subsystems can be assigned the components that carry out the subsystem's function.
